I’m Joanna. I’m a nationally certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor with professional expertise in anatomy, physiology, and basic nutrition. To put it simply: I know that no two bodies are alike and I will help you get fit at the right pace.
It all started when I gained 50+ lbs after I had my son in 2001. After a few years of being always exhausted, unable to keep up with my growing and active son and simply being tired of being unhappy with my body, I embarked on a journey to finally lose the baby" weight. I found success through fitness, Burn and Firm Pilates to be precise, combined with monitoring my food intake.
In 2012 I found myself almost back to square one. I was still working out, but the 2nd piece to the puzzle took a back seat to school and family. In came Shaun T’s T25 workout and I was back to my high school weight. As with most of our fitness journeys, we ride waves of successes and failures. Late 2016, I was recommitting myself to another journey to feeling better in my skin and at the time, unknowingly dealing with a pre-diabetes diagnosis. 20+ later, feeling stronger, healthier, and more driven than I’ve ever been. I know the struggle that comes with finding your fitness fire, and using fitness as a weight loss tool; I HAVE LIVED IT. I KNOW the sacrifice and commitment that it requires, I know the struggles that you will face but overcome, so I want to help guide as many people reach their goals. With my help you can experience all the benefits that fitness provides; because as I will teach you, this journey so much more than just fitness.
